We are constantly working to get our books on the bookshelves of retailers and bookstores. Just today, Comics World has agreed to carry physical copies of “Abode of the Dead”. Price still =$20. Sorry folks it can’t get cheaper because the book IS printed in the  US. Shipping is hell for publishers and booksellers. you can talk to June and Bill (friendly owners of Comics World about it) they get loads of comics from the US.

The books are located on a  black shelf at the back. June packed them in comic book bags.  they are in mint condition, sorry no browsing. after all, it is the same as with any comic. If  you want to browse, go to the NLB… (yes, they also have “Abode of the Dead”.. of course, thanks to yours truly.).

I read this article and just want to say, no Kellyanne, the Left has to do nothing. The stupid American Nazis and his low-class wife are doing it all on their own.

There is nothing more  delegitimizing than confederate-clad  supremacists doing a sieg heil to the Orange man… I have to give them credit for their brilliance, they figured out that he IS Hitler. (No I do not think they are wrong… for once they are 100 percent right.)

The American extreme right has for years struggled to find legitimacy for their cause because man, you can’t call yourself “Nazi” and expect people to applaud you. Most normal people spit on Nazis… it is a fact of our modern world. If anything I think Trump’s victory has provided legitimacy to the modern Nazi… even as late as last year, I could still call random white supremacists “Nazi-dogs” who are disloyal to America and her values…

I am sorry to report that I do not think that Trump embodies the American norm. He has not kept an American woman as wife and has failed to show that he  has paid his taxes. in fact, I think the easiest way for him to clear up the problems with the Trump Foundation would be to buy a URL http://www.Trumpfoundationaccounts.com and publish his accounting for public scrutiny…it is what most world leaders would do. Transparency into his wealth will clear up lots of problems… unless… he is defrauding people like what many people suspect.

Also, Melania can help by not publicizing her naked pics, cos so many normal people have seen her tits, she cannot say she wasn’t once an escort without people rolling their eyes.  I believe some 70 year old man and not her. I mean if she was clean, where do all the pics come from? So really posing for porn  makes her a whore too. Many semi-decent women retract the nude photos as fast as they can once they get married. Or remove them from the net. They do not do nude photo shoots.. only fame-hungry youngsters or porn stars do it.  Nude photo shoots do more than any democrat to bring down the Trump name. She can say what she wants or try to shut the mouth of people, but a picture says everything.

I am only saying this because I know it is true…

People who often survive stroke(like Trump) have to deal with big mental BS… many have suicidal tendencies OR SHOW mental issues… or want everyone to die with them… (severe depression…)

Many go for long periods of counselling and should not be in charge of bs like a presidency…. I mean I have been there ( I have a loving mother who looks after me…..)

They all think I should rest for like half a year before finding a new job. People have questioned my sanity and cognition… (Thus my voluntary taking of the medical test.)….. None of the docs think I should jump into continuing my doctorate……for instance.

I had to prove to a prof I was okay to leave hospital care…. and I am just an ordinary person who has a stroke.

I am amazed, I was tested so much and I haven’t  heard  Trump being prodded by doctors even half as much. And I am an ordinary nobody…

When i taught at a tertiary institute some years back, no girl in the class could answer me how often a girl should be having periods.

Most of the  5ft 3in girls who were a slender 40 kgs(88lbs) did not know the answer.Someone said,”Once in 2 months?”

I never was more shocked. No one knew the answer!

Someone actually said, “Once in  6 months!”(If only…)

And the government wonders why the birthrate is falling.

This was a third of all the girls. I finally said,”Once every month! Any less than that is abnormal!”

This means a third of all the girls need to schedule a meeting with the gynecologist. i never thought people had to think this hard to answer this question.

Well, the hospital scheduled a meeting with the gynecologist because the doctors who treated my stroke thought that my 1 week period was a trite long. they were worried I was losing too much blood in my periods. The gynecologist rolled her eyes because she said, ” You have more blood in you than some people walking around!”( Well, this is bearing in mind that I have the Thalassemia trait. I make faulty blood cells that deplete oxygen to the brain.)

Because I did not have a blood transfusion and was not severely anemic the gynecologist ruled my week long periods as normal!

I quote the gynecologist, “A one week period is normal.” But to rule out fibroids and other complications, she scheduled me to have an ultrasound. The great thing about a gynecology clinic is the presence of so many ladies. There is at least a bunch of people I with whom I could do a comparison.(I have few female friends.Owing to my personality, I have many male friends. Mostly gay. Gay men cannot be relied on for gynecological comparisons. Honestly…. but ask them about men-related issues, you will get a good estimation of what is norm for a guy. I mean, I am one of the few ladies who know about HIV testing and what not like best brand of condom for Asian men.)

The nurse I spoke to said 1 week was ok because she had a friend with 2 week-long periods. She thought it was abnormal.Comparison is good, at  least I am able to say what norm is.

My doc said the bloodwork was okay. So week-long periods are here to stay. she looked as if they won’t find a damn thing to worry about. I am hoping her instinct is accurate.

I met a security guard at the subway. The man offered me a seat. Turns out, he had the exact same stroke I had. he walks normally and even runs after the preps. I asked him how. He said “nothing special” he just never stopped moving.he wanted to live and so he kept moving and stuff and that’s why he is “normal”.

He is living proof that no one has to know that his left side was once completely paralyzed.

Well, fortunately for the bias against traditional medical treatments, local medical traditions have taken a back seat $$ wise to “Western ” medicine. But really, acupuncture does work. Luckily for me, the place where I live has a few people who are clearly stroke patients. I kinda found out about the treatment from a few local “aunties” gossiping about ppl. One of the ladies has problems moving around cos she is using a walking frame.

Turns out, there was this dude who lives nearby who had a stroke and could only move like a snail. He went for the treatment and now he walks as  a “normal” person. You would never know. Really, if you do not say a word, no one can tell.

I went for it. I mean, if you were me, all you need to spur you on is the possibility of hope. No one, not even the docs in the hospital could tell me if I could be “normal” again.

Luckily for me, the treatment is super cheap. At $7 a treatment, many people go a few times a week! I mean, you would too. I mean it is so much better than taking tons of ??? drugs.

 

 

For three weeks I had the chance to observe inhabitants of the hospital environment closely. From a sleep-walking old lady who walked around with open eyes in almost total darkness to nurses.

Here’s the truth about nurses. Most of the caring and healing you will get in a hospital really depends on the quality of the nurses. You will see them 90 percent of the time and really your recovery depends a lot on good nursing. Because really, they fetch you fresh water and wipe your paralyzed butt. Speaking as a person who had a temporarily paralyzed butt( yes, stroke does also paralyze your butt), let me tell you, it is a relief when someone cleans you up.

As an old “auntie” said to a young nurse, “Your profession is a sacred one!”

Auntie was scolding this young lady for being a bitch. The honest truth is, I found out that a quarter of all nurses really want to marry a rich dude who will “rescue” them from their life. A few bright ladies secretly dream of being doctors. I mean, I sorta suspected that this nurse might be doping the patients with her own prescriptions. I started asking what each pill was supposed to be. I also mentioned it to the doctors, who immediately shot a glance at a particular nurse.

Really, it is easier to marry a rich dude as a airline stewardess or bar hostess(do the mistress thing, work on the almost universal male weakness for young boob!). And as for doctors, plan hard to study for your MCAT exams and go to a med school! Honestly! I mean, if you aren’t smart enough to figure this out, seriously question your own desire to be a doctor!

To be brutally frank, the best nurses I met are either Filipino(extremely caring and concerned about the patient) or Indian( hell, they speak English). Chinese nurses from the PRC are really low down on the nursing scale. Generally rude and would take the easiest route to problem-solving. Honestly. if you want to go to the toilet at night, they ask you why, especially if you are wearing a diaper. They would rather sponge you on the bed than accompany you to the shower. My god! How about human dignity and helping the patient to relearn independence?  Also, a warm shower beats sponging any day! They avoid showers cos the patient is more prone to falling in the bathroom( a big hospital no-no) and they might get wet(some people can’t control where they spray the water, try getting a stroke and showering yourself.). They also try to avoid showering patients who appear paralyzed or somewhat paralyzed).Imagine washing every part of someone who can’t move. Some old ladies with full body paralysis have not seen a shower in months, maybe years!( I refer a lot to old ladies cos the wards are gender segregated.)

Really socialist China hasn’t taught the idea of service to these ladies. I was mostly showered by Indian nurses until I could use the shower on my own. (Indian ladies have no issues about bathing you or wiping your butt if that is the job scope.)

Am I paralyzed? No not at all. I have acute weakness on my left side so I move like a drunk on that side. Not all patients who have stroke are paralyzed. A lady on an opposite bed could actually walk sans any walking aid!
