Our Values
Although we do not have any formal prohibitions as to what kind of material we will not publish, however I thought it was important to state the following out right.
- we will not publish any Nazi-related material or material related to National Socialist (Nazi) ideology. This also includes Nazi-themed novels or fetishistic treatment of Nazi images or iconography or images suggesting such. And also includes work originating from neo-Nazi, white nationalism or white power groups and organizations related to that ideology.. eg. pseudo-Christian or pseudo-pagan(I do not care what you call yourself, if you are related to that group, you are supporting the Nazi cause, whether you know it or not.) groups with links to any white power organizations. When the Nazi is mentioned, it should always be in the historical or negative imagery. If we even suspect that you are related to that irk, yes, we will check, our chief editor ( who has a degree in political science ) will vet you out.
- Any obvious pornography. For obvious reasons. Our company’s publishing license does not cover that topic and Singapore does not issue adult entertainment licences. It is part of being a good citizen and follows our societal norms.
- As a Singaporean company, we strictly adhere to the values laid down in our national constitution this means we treat all races and creeds (religion) equally. This is being a good Singaporean and upholds values that we hold dear. We are not Islamophobic and will publish a good novel if it has an authentic cultural setting where the main character is a muslim or pagan or whatever religion or jewish or whatever the character claims to be or believe. Although our chief editor is partial to atheist, agnostic or freethinker characters, in sci-fi, it makes writing so much easier.
